Making a
Difference Through YOUTH CHRISTIAN EVENTS
• Fun Activities
We appreciate the value of having fun while practicing your faith.
Throughout the year, there are church sponsored social events for broom ball,
roller skating party, church Christmas caroling, snow tubing,
Souper Bowl of Caring,
bowling, and the family camp-in,
just to name a few.
• Downtown Vacation Bible School
This is a joint ministry with several of our downtown Wooster church
partners each summer providing a week of learning and fun for more than 250
children. Volunteers are always needed to help in all areas of Vacation
Bible School.
• Summer Camp
Summer Camp is an exciting time of exploration for those who have completed
any grade 3 through 12. Camp Christian has a place in the hearts of those
who have ever been part of a program there. There is also an Advanced
Conference for those who have graduated from high school and are under the
age of 30. Central Christian Church is proud to provide a 50% scholarship
for all who attend a camp sponsored by the Christian Church (Disciples of
Christ). If you are interested in being a camper or a counselor, please
contact the church office.
•
ALIVE Christian Musical Festival
The Alive
Festival has continued its initial mission to bring individuals together
from various churches, denominations and backgrounds to enjoy four days of
music, worship, teaching, camping, swimming, and recreational fun! For many,
Alive has become an annual summer destination, and it truly is a great time
of fellowship and celebration of the truth of Jesus being ALIVE! Alive not
only provides the opportunity to experience great music and teaching, but it
also offers the opportunity to be challenged to seek a deeper walk with
Christ.
•
Revolve Tour for Teenage Girls
The Revolve
Tour uses music, drama, personal stories, videos and other creative avenues
to address issues relevant to teenage girls today, including relationships
with friends and family, body image and self esteem, relationships with
guys, and faith in God. The Revolve Tour local stop in Columbus is a Friday
night through Saturday event in early September designed for 6th through
12th grade girls.
