Infant-2 years old - Nursery Room
2nd floor
With a recently renovated room, infants love the fresh look and safe
environment. The nursery room has a new pack and play, toys, and fresh
carpeting installed. Our nursery has undergone renovation and has fresh
paint and an inviting garden atmosphere. Our paid nursery attendant finds
creative ways to teach and entertain both infants and toddlers.
3-4 years old - Toddler Room 2nd
floor
The toddler room has also undergone a recent renovation. Painted in bright
primary colors and fitted with a new TV and DVD/VCR, our toddlers can enjoy
short Veggie Tales video clips and videos that teach basic principles of the
Bible. A new reading loft and play center will soon be installed as well.
K-6th grade - 2nd floor Education
Building
Led by a rotation of volunteer teachers, this innovative new Sunday School
format for grade school age children allows children to experience Bible
stories in multi-sensory environments. Children learn one story in at least
3 different workshops which rotate each week. One week they might experience
a Bible story by working in the art gallery, then the next week act out the
story in the drama room, and the following week watch a video in the cinema
room.
7th-12th grade - Youth Room
("Generation Change")
This class allows our teenagers time to be with friends in their very own
space and learn principles from the Bible that apply to their everyday
lives.

Opportunities During the 10:30 am Worship Service
Children's Moment
Children’s Moment is a time
during the second Sunday Morning Worship Service when the children are
invited to come forward to sit on the steps in the sanctuary with the
pastor. Led by the pastor, they talk about a subject at a level the
children will understand. The children get to have their moment of time and
prayer with the pastor.
It is a good time for the children, the pastor, and the congregation.
Children Worship & Wonder (1st,
2nd, 3rd Sundays)
This is a very special program
for children age 3 through fourth grade and is optional for fifth and sixth
graders. It is held in the Cork Room which is located on the second floor of
the church. Children will listen to an interactive story and participate in
a response time. This is a method of learning which is based on the
Montessori style of teaching. Children are dismissed to this class after the Children's
Moment during the 10:30am worship service.
Children's Choir (Last Sunday &
1st Sunday)
Children's Choir is an
opportunity for young people to explore religion in music and song. Practice
is held that last Sunday of each month after the Children's Moment during
the 10:30am worship service. The children then sing at the second service
during the first Sunday of each month and during other special services.
Balcony
Class for 5th-8th graders
Balcony class is
a NEW informational session for those children in grades 5 through 8. After
the Children's Moment during the 10:30am worship service, they are invited
to the enclosed balcony room to participate in worship, as well as interact
with an adult leader who will discuss with them what goes on in the service
as well as discuss questions related to the sermon and elements of worship.
