Making a
Difference Through ADULT CHRISTIAN ORGANIZATIONS
Central Christian Church Committees
Our church has a plethora of committees that make a difference in the
smooth operation of the church and all of its efforts. Many of our
committees are voluntary while others are appointed committee positions. For
more information, read here about all of the
church committees at Central Christian.
Christian Men's Fellowship (CMF)
The purpose of CMF is to bring men together for worship, study, spiritual
growth, fellowship and service. Through the past years, the men in our
congregation have met for fellowship and service during Chili Suppers,
helping congregational members with building projects at their homes,
cleaning up after major storms and cleaning years and gutters for those who
can't participate in these activities. Annually, they plant the church
garden for the church and neighborhood to enjoy.
Christian Women's Fellowship (CWF)
All Christian Women's Fellowship meetings are open to ALL women
regardless of whether they formally 'belong' to Central Christian Church or
not. The meetings are held monthly at the church in the months of February,
March, April, May, September, and October. The CWF informational booklet can
be obtained from the church office or by
clicking here.
Church Women United (CWU)
CWU is a racially, culturally, theologically inclusive Christian women's
movement, celebrating unity in diversity and working for a world of peace
and justice. Women biblically based with shared Christian faith have been
organized into more than 1200 local and state units working for peace and
justice in the United States and Puerto Rico. CWU is supported in state and
local units and denominational women's organizations impassioned by the Holy
Spirit to act on behalf of women and children throughout the world and is
recognized as a non-government organization by the United Nations.
SisterChicks
Periodically, ladies of the church get together for book reviews,
fellowship, craft projects, mission efforts, and camaraderie. Originally the
group began reading the SisterChicks books, hence the name. They meet in
someone's home for their gatherings through the year.
Contact the group leader for more information.
